The second part of bat control is prevention. Bat-excluders cannot work without proper prevention work. Unless you want to play whack a mole with your resident bats the entire structure must be bat-proofed as well.

Prevention work includes things like caulking and sealing every gap on the home with several different kinds of caulk, modifications to roofs, vent systems and chimneys both wood and gas. Custom flashing fabrications and repairs to roof, siding, soffits and fascia. It has to be done in such a way that does not prevent vents and chimneys from functioning properly while also keeping out animals like raccoons and squirrels and mice.

When trying to evict a resident colony of bats from your home they will fight to get back in. This is their home (in their minds) and if you miss anything that they can use to get back they will find it, sooner or later.
